1. what’s this site all about and who operates it?
'How e are you?' asks you to complete a short survey and then works out your personal e-score, based on what you have and haven’t done online. The site is operated by Enhance Media Limited – our contact details are set out below.
2. what’s my e-score?
Your personal e-score is simply based on what you’ve done online. Out of 30 activities you’ll be asked how many you’ve done so far. The list is kept updated, and each activity is worth a different number of points which we use to calculate your e-score (between 0 and 100).
3. why is my e-score interesting?
Your e-score shows how much you’ve done on the internet, and what you’ve got left to do! You can email your friends from this site (with their permission) and challenge them to work out their own e-scores. 'how e are you?' also helps you to explore the internet even further by showing you the popular sites that people with similar or higher e-scores visit most often.
4. who’s responsible for the site?
'How e are you?' was built by Enhance Media – an award-winning online communications consultancy that wants to learn more about how real people use the internet.
5. your details - and the other legal stuff
Unless you tick one of the other boxes, we’ll only use your email address to let you know if you’ve won the prize draw. If you want to use this site to challenge your friends then we’ll only use their email address once - to contact them - and will not keep their details in any form. However it is your responsibility to get their permission to give us their details and you agree with us that you will only do so once you have their permission.
We don’t ask you for any personal details during the survey (just the first three digits of your postcode). This means we’ll only analyse the data in an aggregated format. You can read more about our legal responsibilities and commitments here.
6. prize draw

7. childnet
Enhance Media supports childnet in their work to make the internet a positive and safer place for children. For every survey completed on this site we’ll donate 10p to Childnet (up to a maximum of £100 per month).
8. your ideas
Please let us know if you have any feedback about the site, or if you can suggest new activities we should include in the survey. If we like your idea we'll send you a limited edition 'how e are you?' collector’s t-shirt!
